Automatic Wet Paint Spraying Line
Today, customers are demanding more quality and durability from the products they buy. Not only do they want these products to perform well, but they also want the finishes to be aesthetically pleasing and last longer.
As a “Painting Line Builder”, OURS COATING will continue to help its customers meet these two challenges by offering a complete range of surface treatment processes for the three main coating technologies: powder coating, electrophoretic coating (e-coat) and liquid coating.
a painting line consists of
Pretreatment
Before painting, products or components may go through a pretreatment stage, which can include cleaning, surface treatment, and priming. Proper preparation is crucial to ensure good adhesion of the paint or coating.Conveyor System
Industrial painting lines generally have a conveyor system for transporting products or parts to the various stages of the painting process. Depending on the specific requirements of the line, the conveyor system can be designed as an overhead conveyor, a monorail conveyor or a floor conveyor.
Painting
The heart of the system is the paint application stage. Various methods may be employed, including:
Spray painting: Airless or air-assisted spray guns may be used for efficient and uniform paint application.
Dip coating: Products are immersed in a bath of paint, ensuring complete coverage. Electrostatic painting: An electrostatic charge is applied to the paint, causing it to adhere more effectively to the product’s surface.
Drying/Curing
After painting, the products move through drying or curing ovens. These ovens heat to evaporate solvents in the wet paint, causing it to dry and harden. The specific curing process (e.g. air drying, infrared curing, convection curing, UV curing) depends on the type of paint or coating used.
Paint Supply and Re-circulation
Paint or coating materials are stored in tanks and continuously supplied to the painting equipment. Some systems have a recirculation loop to maintain consistent paint viscosity and quality.
Quality Control
Throughout the entire production line, quality control measures are in place to check the painted product for defects, thickness and compliance with the required quality standards, of course, automatic inspection systems can also be used.
Environmental Control
Industrial painting lines often have environmental measures in place to capture and filter paint overspray to minimize emissions and ensure compliance with environmental regulations.
