In the automotive manufacturing sector, which demands exceptionally high standards for coating technology, domestic spraying equipment has made a significant leap from merely “functional” to “highly effective” in recent years. This marks China's coating equipment manufacturing industry officially joining the ranks of international advanced standards. Through strategic collaboration and years of technical breakthroughs, Tianjin Mingjie and Effort have successfully developed a fully domestic automotive painting integrated solution, completely breaking the long-standing monopoly held by foreign brands. This breakthrough not only provides domestic automakers with a more cost-effective option but also offers robust support for the transformation and upgrading of China's manufacturing sector.

The innovation journey of domestic coating technology has been marked by both challenges and achievements. In 2017, the R&D team pioneered the breakthrough of technical barriers, securing German PTB certification and EU explosion-proof certification. This achievement earned the “entry ticket” to the vehicle manufacturing market, signifying international recognition for China's coating equipment. In subsequent years, the R&D team persistently tackled core technical challenges, achieving full domestic production of key components—from cup heads, forming hoods, and microvalves to high-precision gear pumps and motors—and establishing an integrated supply chain system. The successful development of three core systems proved particularly pivotal: The high-precision YB002 gear pump system employs innovative control algorithms to maintain flow control accuracy within ±0.5%, meeting international advanced standards; the automotive-grade X770 rotary cup system utilizes a specialized power design, achieving operating speeds of 70,000 RPM for millisecond-level rapid response, ensuring stable and consistent spray quality.

This August, this landmark project commenced operations at an overseas automotive plant, establishing China's first fully domestically produced production line capable of external spraying for mid-coat, color coat, and clear coat applications. The successful commissioning of this line not only demonstrates the stability and reliability of domestic equipment but also showcases significant advantages in cost control and delivery efficiency. Operational data indicates that compared to imported equipment, the domestic solution reduces initial investment costs by over 30%, lowers maintenance expenses by more than 40%, and shortens after-sales service response times from weeks to within 48 hours. These advantages position domestic coating equipment as highly competitive in the international market.

This technological breakthrough holds significant implications for China's manufacturing sector. First, it lowers the equipment investment threshold for automotive manufacturers, enabling more enterprises to access high-performance coating solutions at reduced costs.
